The [Films en cours] award offers post-production support for first, second, and third feature films, dedicated to theatrical release (narrative, essay, documentary), towards the end of editing process.

Every single year, for the last 125 years, as September nears, a small village in the Pyrenees of Catalonia celebrates Festa Major. A mad four-day celebration where people of all ages, walks of life, sex, locals, guests, and strangers from neighbouring valleys and beyond, dance, drink, and rejoice together.

In a small village in Northern India, elderly women - destitute harbingers of bad luck - await their death. Biding their time until their next transmigration, they wander endlessly about their pilgrimage, begging, singing praises to their protector, Krishna, for hours on end. In the village, as everywhere else in India, preparations are underway for Holi, the Festival of Colours. Traditionally banned from these festivities, these women resist, intent on celebrating amongst themselves.

17-year-old Alt returns to his catholic boy’s school after a year away. He no longer relates to his old mates, who are popular and athletic, but finds himself drawn to Oliver, a gay pupil. In an attempt to dispel the rumours on his predispositions, he bonds with his old friends and ends up committing a crime to prove that he still belongs to their group.

The director, a 35-year old photographer, delves into a father’s old collection of negatives. A photographer himself, he took part in the fight against the Chilean dictatorship and lived in exile throughout Latin America. This footage, the vestige of an eventful past, reveals the emotions that permeated this clandestine era.
