Antonio, Dashing Antonio is a film about the director’s uncle who left Portugal to go to Brazil 50 years ago, at the age of 19 – never to return. Over the years, he kept telling his mother he would come back… but half a century later, she is still waiting. Why did he never return?
Ana Maria Gomes est une cinéaste franco-portugaise, née en 1982. Diplômée du Fresnoy en 2007, elle s’intéresse particulièrement au rôle de la fiction dans la construction des identités personnelles.
