Unknown history of cinema on french television
In his last active decade, the seventies, Georges Franju exclusively worked for television. In this adaptation of Joseph Conrad's short novel The Shadow-Line, a young, inexperienced ship captain named Marlow (Jean Babilée), struggles in solitude during the voyage with disease, insubordinate crew and vagaries of weather.
