Monsieur Verdoux
Charles Chaplin
Interwar years, in France. A suave but cynical man, Monsieur Verdoux, supports his family by marrying and murdering rich women for their money after losing his job due to the economical crisis, but the job has some occupational hazards.
Loosely based on the crimes of Serial Killer Henri Désiré Landru.
